Important Update: Changes to the EBU CME/CPD Credit System Effective 2026

The European Board of Urology (EBU) has announced significant updates to its CME/CPD credit system, driven by the FEBU Revalidation process that began in 2025. These changes are effective 1 January 2026 and include a revised list of eligible activities for credit collection.

The minimum requirement remains 200 credits over five years, as defined by the EBU Accreditation Committee. In 2019, the system was revised to give equal importance to CME (Continuing Medical Education) and CPD (Continuing Professional Development), and these regulations have been in effect since 1 January 2020.

What’s new in 2026 is that the eligible activities for credit collection have been reviewed and updated to align with FEBU revalidation requirements. A new table of eligible activities is now available to guide specialists in meeting compliance standards.
