Antimicrobial resistance is a global threat jeopardising our patients� outcome. Patients at risk are elderly patients, complex history, previous antimicrobial therapy and various other factors.

The management of antimicrobial resistance includes many different aspects as described by antimicrobial stewardship, including: selecting the right patients, the right antibiotic, the right dosage. This includes, in the future point of care, diagnostics as well as therapeutic drug monitoring.

In many cases antibiotics can be withheld and non-antibiotic prevention strategies become more and more important. This webinar deals explicitly with the problem of antimicrobial resistance in urogenital infections and how urologists can best manage.
